MEET MEL
Melanie Alva doesn’t just design garments—she builds worlds from thread and feeling. A featured designer at Texas Fashion Week and Bloodbath Studio’s Metanoia, she fuses fashion, performance, and protest into immersive experiences that refuse the ordinary. Her collections—rooted in sustainable practice and LGBTQ+ expression—breathe new life into salvaged materials, transforming them into emotionally charged, movement-driven pieces. As founder of the art-fashion collective Bad Behaviour, Melanie led collaborative shows that blurred the line between runway and ritual. She’s worked for brands, from Steve Madden to Saks 5th Ave, produced live events across Texas, and thrives where fashion gets messy, intimate, and loud. Her clothes don’t behave.
They speak.
